The Story

Curadio wasn’t just another project—it was a spark of synergy. It all began at TiEcon, where Sharad Borgaonkar, the visionary founder of Curadio, crossed paths with our Director, Ravindra Warang. What was meant to be a brief handshake quickly turned into something more—a meeting of minds. In that very moment, something clicked. Their shared passion for education, storytelling, and innovation created an instant resonance.

That handshake turned into a handshake deal.

With a common goal of making education more immersive, inclusive, and joyful, the decision to collaborate was swift and natural. And just like that, Curadio got rejuvenated.
When the brief arrived at 12Grids, it wasn’t just seen as another design problem to solve. Our creative and tech teams were instantly hooked—this was something special. The mission to make learning fun, accessible, and meaningful through audio sparked our imagination.
We knew this had to be intuitive for kids, assuring for parents, and unlike anything else in the space. So we rolled up our sleeves, brainstormed wild ideas, doodled mascots, and mapped out what would eventually become Curoland—a vibrant, engaging world where education meets imagination.

Curadio wasn’t just built.

It was crafted—with empathy, storytelling, and a childlike sense of wonder.

Challenges we took on

Designing for children isn’t just about bright colors and playful visuals—it’s about clarity, simplicity, and joy. For Curadio, our challenge was to build an experience that kept kids curious without keeping them glued to screens. The goal was clear: make learning quick to access, engaging to revisit, and smooth to experience.
01
Reduce Screen Time, Increase Engagement
We had to ensure kids could start listening to a story in just a few taps. The platform had to feel light, focused, and rewarding—without overwhelming visuals or lengthy interactions.
02
Make It Simple, Yet Fun
The system needed to feel magical yet intuitive. It had to allow even first-time users to navigate easily, while still being delightful enough for kids to want to come back.
03
Optimize Audio + Activities Together
Balancing audio performance with rich learning experiences was key. Stories needed to play without lag, and activity sheets had to be interactive, device-friendly, and instantly usable.

How Did Curo Bring a Change?
We designed and developed the Curoland, an engaging and fun world where audio brings captivating stories to life. Curo, a young panda, our mascot became a companion of all the young friends in the Curoland. It allowed them to explore a unique audio-driven experience by creating a vibrant environment that combines entertainment and education.

With Curo besides them, kids are sure to gain the knowledge in a ‘funtastic’ way.
